Lohit, which means 'red' in Sanskrit, is a family of Indic fonts. It was first released by Red Hat in 2004 but now it's developed by Fedora Project. The font family currently supports 21 Indian languages: Assamese, Bengali, Devanagari (Hindi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Marathi, Nepali, Sindhi, Santali, Bodo, Dogri), Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Manipuri, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. The fonts are used as web fonts for Wikipedia and some other Wikimedia Foundation sites.
